A 60-minute exploration of the Aerial Hammock

INTRO TO AERIAL YOGA FOR NEWCOMERS was developed for beginners no matter your level of experience in terms of fitness, movement, or athletics. It combines traditional yoga postures with the basic training of an aerialist. In this class, you use the weight of the your body as support in balancing and expressing the different positions. Participants will learn how to achieve proper postural alignment through relaxation rather than effort, enhancing a relaxed and peaceful state of mind as well. Some of the traditional yoga postures, such as inversions and deep back bends, can be achieved without effort or strain with the use of the aerial hammock. You’ll experience deeper muscle releases and much deeper stretches with less effort than you might in traditional yoga postures on the floor. These exercises strengthen shoulders, abdominals and back while increasing overall flexibility.
